UPDATE: Check out our Huawei Nova 4e hands-on post.
Huawei Malaysia has just announced its new Nova 4e, a new selfie-centric smartphone that’s priced RM700 lower than the Nova 4. Despite its lower price tag, the device features a high resolution 32MP f/2.0 front camera, a triple-camera rear setup and a generous 128GB of internal storage.
As leaked earlier, Huawei Nova 4e comes with a 6.15″ Full HD+ display that comes with a tiny notch and it runs on a mid-range Kirin 710 processor. This is the same processor that’s powering last year’s Nova 3i and Honor 8X. The unit that’s coming to Malaysia has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Over at the rear, it gets a 24MP f/1.8 main shooter, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP f/2.4 shooter for depth of field. Connectivity wise, the Nova 4e supports 4G LTE with dual-SIM and it also supports 802.11ac WiFi with Bluetooth 4.2.
Powering the Nova 4e is a 3,340mAh, which is similar to last year’s Nova 3i. As you would expect for a 2019 device, it charges via USB-C and it runs on the latest EMUI 9.0.1. Huawei has also included a 9V/2A quick charger in the box and the phone still retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Huawei Nova 4e is officially priced at RM1,199 and it comes in three colour options – Midnight Black, Pearl White and Peacock Blue. It will be available starting 16 March 2019 and you can get it at Huawei Experience Stores and authorised retailers which include Courts, Harvey Norman, Senheng and senQ.
