OnePlus is expected to reveal their new OnePlus 7 flagship very soon and it was speculated to come with an edge to edge display that has a slider mechanism for the front camera. Now we are able to get a clearer look at the device thanks to renders provided by serial
The design of the OnePlus 7 looks quite similar to the OnePlus 6T but this time there’s no notch at the top. To solve the selfie-camera conundrum, it will feature a pop-up front-facing camera which is similar to the Vivo V15 Pro. According to @Onleaks, the OnePlus 7 will get a 6.5″ display that has a higher screen-to-body ratio of at least 95%. There’s no info on the screen resolution just yet but it is highly likely to be Full HD+.
Over at the back, the design is similar to its predecessor but the rear camera bump is now slightly longer to accomodate a triple-camera setup. The rear lacks a fingerprint sensor, which means that the OnePlus 7 will continue to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor like the current OnePlus 6T.
At the bottom of the device, you’ll find a USB-C port and a speaker grill. You can expect the new flagship to support a faster 30W Warp Charge technology but unfortunately, is unlikely to support wireless charging. Another omission is a 3.5mm headphone jack which was removed since the OnePlus 6T.
Since this is a 2019 flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 7 will definitely run on the latest Snapdragon 855 processor with a minimum of 6GB of RAM for the base model. The device is speculated to come with a larger 4,150mAh battery which should last a full day for most users. Since OnePlus aims to release the first 5G smartphone in Europe, you can expect a 5G version to be announced alongside the standard 4G LTE model.
