Samsung Galaxy A30 and A50 Malaysian pricing revealed. Pre-order is now available.

The Galaxy A50 and A30 are Samsung’s latest affordable mid-range devices that offer larger displays and a bigger battery. Just days after it was announced during the #MWC19 week, both devices are coming to Malaysia very soon and you can secure a unit starting today.

According to retailer Mobile2Go, the Galaxy A30 is officially priced at RM799 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage while the Galaxy A50 is going for RM1,199 with 6GB RAM + 128GB of storage. Both of these units are covered with Samsung Malaysia’s one-year official warranty.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy A30 and A50 come with a 6.4″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with an U-shaped notched. Both devices are running on a mid-range Exynos processor and are powered by a 4,000mAh battery that supports fast charging via USB-C.

For the Galaxy A30, it gets a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera combo, while the Galaxy A50 comes with a triple-camera setup consisting of a 25MP + 8MP + 5MP camera shooter. What’s interesting is that Mobile2Go mentions that both the Galaxy A30 and A50 offer IP68 dust and water resistance. This makes it one of the cheapest smartphones you can buy that’s water resistant.

UPDATE: We’ve reached out to Samsung Malaysia and they informed us that the Galaxy A30 and A50 for our market do not come with IP68 dust/water resistance.
