XOX will be offering eSIM for the iPhone and Google Pixel 3 very soon

UPDATE: XOX eSIM is now available. Plans start from RM39/month.

Mobile Virtual Network Operator, XOX Mobile, will be launching its eSIM solution very soon. This will enable the latest iPhone and the Google Pixel 3 to get an additional data plan without requiring a physical SIM card.

The new eSIM solution will be launched next Wednesday, on the 27th February 2019. According to the invite, the XOX eSIM will offer XOX Black features which include the ability to carry forward data with its “Burnproof” proposition.

At the moment, there no local telcos that are offering eSIMs for the current iPhone models. In Malaysia, both Xiaomi and Oppo are able to utilise its eSIM feature via Elinking (formerly known as Durian Man). Digital telco, Yoodo, had also revealed its intention to offer eSIM subscriptions and it is expected to be introduced in the first half of 2019.
