Xiaomi’s Black Shark gaming smartphone with official Malaysia warranty is coming very soon

Not too long ago, Razer has officially launched the Razer Phone 2 in our local market. Now, Black Shark, the gaming smartphone that’s backed by Xiaomi is finally making its way to Malaysia.

According to DirectD, Black Shark now has an authorised distributor in Malaysia and the first sale for the device will be available exclusively through their outlets. There will be two Black Shark options available and below is the official pricing:

6GB RAM + 64GB storage – RM1,599
8GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,799

To recap, the Black Shark has a 5.99″ Full HD+ display and it runs on a Snapdragon 845 processor. To keep things cool, it has a liquid cooling system which helps to maintain optimal performance for extended period of time without throttling. The Black Shark also has dual speakers but unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For taking pictures, the device comes with a 12MP f/1.75 + 20MP f/1.75 dual-camera setup that’s accompanied by a dual-LED flash. Over at the front, it gets a single 20MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

The Black Shark is powered by a 4,000mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 via USB-C. According to DirectD, the Black Shark for Malaysia is a global unit and it also comes bundled with a GamePad controller.

Unlike imported units, these Black Shark units are covered with a 1-year warranty from the official Black Shark distributor. If you’re interested, you can pre-order now with a RM100 deposit and stocks are expected to arrive on 25th February 2019.
