Proton sets new record delivering 1,000 Proton X70 SUVs in one day

Proton sets a new record by delivering 1,000 Proton X70 SUVs to expecting owners in a single day.

To put that into perspective, to deliver 1,000 cars in a 24-hour day means Proton would have to send out over 40 cars every hour. The feat is even more impressive when you consider an 8-hour working day, that means Proton delivered over 125 units of the X70 in an hour!

The milestone was achieved in conjunction with Proton’s Chinese New Year open house which took place simultaneously across 74 Proton 3S (sales, service and spare parts) and 4S (sales, service, spare parts and body/paint services) outlets nationwide on February 2, 2019.

Launched in December 2018, the X70 is quickly becoming Proton’s most popular model. According to the carmaker, the X70 set a record for the most registrations by an SUV in its debut month in Malaysia. In January 2,777 units of the Proton X70 was registered on the road setting a new record for the most C-segment SUV registrations in a single calendar month.

Currently, there are four variants of the Proton X70 available – Standard 2WD, Executive in either 2WD or AWD form and top-of-the-line Premium 2WD variant.

The prices for the variants are as follows:
1.8 TGDi Standard 2WD: RM99,800
1.8 TGDi Executive 2WD: RM109,800
1.8 TGDi Executive AWD: RM115,800
1.8 TGDi Premium 2WD: RM123,800
