Huawei MediaPad T5: A full-sized tablet priced under RM1,000

UPDATE: Huawei Malaysia has clarified that the MediaPad T5 will be available on 28 January 2019 instead of the earlier announced 28 February 2019 date during the Nova 4 launch event.

Apart from the Nova 4, Huawei has also announced the MediaPad T5 in Malaysia. This is a full sized 10.1″ Android tablet that is priced at RM999.

In terms of specs, the MediaPad T5 pushes a Full HD (1920×1200 pixels) resolution on a 10.1″ panel and it has dual speakers that are down-firing. Powering the tablet is a Kirin 659 which is the same processor that’s powering the Nova 2i. It also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The rear comes with a 5MP f/2.4 main camera while the front gets a single 2MP f/2.4 shooter. Powering the tablet is a 5,100mAh battery and it charges via microUSB. Out of the box, it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 skin on top.

According to Huawei, the MediaPad T5 will be on sale from 28th February 2019 28th January 2019 and you can get it from their online store. A flip case valued at RM119 will be included for free.
