Astro today announced that its broadband package will be available to eligible residents of Jasin, Melaka. The broadband bundle will provide internet connectivity together with Astro’s content offering and is part of a pilot project conducted by the company in support of the National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan (NFCP).
Two packages are available – a 50Mbps plan for RM99 per month and a 100Mbps plan for RM129 per month. Both options come with Astro’s Family Pack containing over 40 TV channels including Astro Ria, Astro Prima, Astro Arena, Astro Awani, Astro AEC, Astro Xiao Tai Yang, NatGeo WILD, and FOXlife, among others.
The packages are available to about 1,100 eligible homes in an area where Astro has a 92% household penetration comprising of Astro and NJOI customers. As part of the pilot project from 8 Jan – 31 January, 2019 Astro will provide:
Free channel previews and complimentary broadband access for the month of January at current package rates for Astro customers who sign up:
1) An upgrade to Family Pack and complimentary broadband access in January for NJOI customers who sign up.
2) After 31 January, customers have the option to continue using the service from February 1 onwards by subscribing either the 50Mbps or 100Mbps packages.
Astro will contact eligible homeowners in Jasin for this special promotion, which is valid till 31 January 2019.
