Celcom offers free unlimited data on New Year’s Day

In conjunction with the New Year celebration, Celcom is offering free unlimited data. This is applicable for both postpaid and prepaid customers, and it’s valid for exactly 6 hours between 1am to 7am on 1st January 2019.

To enjoy this free unlimited data offer, you’ll need to redeem it via the Celcom Life app by going to Notifications and select “Free Internet On Us”. Alternatively, you can redeem by dialling *118*1# and select “Free Internet On Us”.

You can redeem this offer starting today, 12:00AM on 30th December until 11:59PM on 31st December 2018. Celcom will send you an SMS notification when you have successfully redeemed your free unlimited data add-on. Usage after 7am on 1st January 2019 will utilise your existing data quota.

The free offer is basically an unlimited version of its current Late Night Internet add-on. If Celcom genuinely wants to reward its customers during the New Year celebration, it would have made more sense if the free unlimited promo starts at 12AM or earlier. What’s the point of giving free data 1 hour later when most people would have uploaded their instagram stories and greetings at the stroke of midnight?

For more info, visit Celcom’s Free Unlimited Internet promo page.
