Entry-level Samsung Galaxy M20 to get a 5,000mAh battery and a waterdrop notch display

Samsung’s new entry level smartphone lineup, known as the M-series, will be launched very soon and the M20 will be the first to make its way to the public. The M-series are aimed  at budget conscious consumers as well as those of us who prefer a more pocketable device.

Ahead of its official launch, a number of leaks have surfaced on the Internet, giving us some hint of what to expect. The device is expected to pack a massive 5,000mAh battery cell. For comparison, the Galaxy Note 9 packs a 4,000mAh battery. However, this is not the first Samsung device with a 5,000mAh battery, that distinction goes to the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro

Apart from that, the M20 might also be the first Samsung phone to sport a waterdrop-style notch display which is apparently called the Infinity-U display.

While the latest round of leaks does not indicate the screen size, it does reveal that the M20 will measure 156.4 x 74.5 x 8.8mm along with a standard LCD IPS display. Besides that, the device will run on a mid-range Exynos 7885 processor mated to 3GB of RAM.

In the camera department, the M20 is expected to carry a 13MP+5MP dual camera setup at the back and an 8MP front camera for selfies.

While Samsung has not revealed any official launch dates nor specifications details, we reckon that the phones will go official next year. For now, let’s take all of this information as just rumours.

UPDATE: We’ve updated this post to correct the information about Samsung’s first smartphone with a 5,000mAh battery.
