Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 coming to Malaysia next month for less than RM2,500

Xiaomi Malaysia has finally revealed two big clues for its Mi MIX 3 smartphone availability in Malaysia. The device had recently passed Malaysia’s SIRIM certification and this is the successor of the Mi MIX 2S.  

If you can’t wait to get a unit with an official Xiaomi Malaysia warranty, they have officially announced that it’s coming in January 2019. In terms of pricing, it will going for less than RM2,500. As a comparison, the current Mi MIX 2S was originally priced at RM1,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model and RM2,199 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. 

It isn’t clear which variants they are bringing into Malaysia but the very least, it will come with 6GB RAM + 128GB of storage. The Mi MIX 3 was also released with higher spec variants with up to 10GB RAM and 256GB of storage. 

To recap, the Mi MIX 3 features a 6.39″ Super AMOLED Full HD+ display and it runs on a Snapdragon 845 processor. Unlike the previous models that have a thick bottom chin and a selfie camera, the Mi MIX 3 has a wider screen area that stretches closer to the edges.

To hide its front cameras, the Mi MIX 3 has a manual slider mechanism which houses 24MP + 2MP selfie cameras. There’s also 12MP f/1.8 + 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera combo at the rear which performed as well as the Galaxy Note9 according to DxOMark. Keeping the lights on is a 3,200mAh battery and it also supports Qi Wireless charging.
