OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition design revealed. Comes with faster Warp Charge

OnePlus is collaborating with supercar brand, McLaren, for its upcoming OnePlus 6T special edition. The launch is taking place tomorrow, but we now get a clear view of its design and key features thanks to a leak on twitter.

The device is still based on the standard OnePlus 6T but it gets a McLaren inspired carbon-fibre back design and there is an orange outline around the sides of the rear panel. Internally, the device is also getting a couple of performance upgrades.

According to the leaked image shared by @IshanAgarwal24, the McLaren edition will come with 10GB of RAM which is 2GB more than the current range topping OnePlus 6T.

On top of that it will also get a new Warp Charge technology which boasts a day of power in just 20 minutes of charging. This appears to be a significant upgrade over the standard 5V4A Dash Charge and we believe this is a rehash of OPPO’s new 10V5A SuperVOOC charger.

According to Ishan, the McLaren OnePlus 6T will also come with 256GB of storage. Under the hood, it is expected to come with a Snapdragon 845 processor but there’s a possibility that OnePlus might introduce a faster 5G version with a Snapdragon 855 unit. OnePlus had mentioned last week that they want to be the first smartphone maker to introduce a 5G smartphone in Europe in early 2019.

The event is taking place tomorrow, 11th December 2018 at 5:30PM Malaysian time.
