You can buy the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 in Malaysia on 12.12

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is launching next Tuesday, and this could be one of the fastest product rollouts yet from the Taiwanese smartphone maker. This new model will succeed the current ZenFone Max Pro M1 which is seen as the strongest contender to Xiaomi’s Redmi series.

If you’re interested to buy the ZenFone Max Pro M2 in Malaysia, it looks like you’ll have to mark your calendars for next Wednesday, 12 December.

According to its listing on Lazada Malayisa, the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 will go on sale on 12.12 with possibly additional discounts on the official retail price. In the past, Lazada has been notorious for leaking official prices ahead of the launch. This time, they have placed a dummy figure of RM9,999 while the spec sheet is showing the ZenFone Max Pro M1 model. There’s no mention of stock availability and we are guessing that this could be a pre-order promo with stocks arriving later on.

In terms of specs, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 is expected to come with a 6.0″ Full HD+ display with a premium looking glass back. It is powered by a more capable Snapdragon 660 processor with at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

In the imaging department, the device appears to be coming with a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup at the rear. As usual, this is still positioned as a mobile gaming device and it will retain a huge 5,000mAh battery.
