The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is a promising mid-range smartphone that is expected to offer top specs at an affordable price. Before the device is revealed on 11 December, the hardware specs and exterior design were leaked early thanks to a YouTube video.
A hands-on video of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 had gone live too early but it was pulled down shortly after. Fortunately, someone had managed to screen captured bits of it which
According to the video, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will feature a 6.0″ IPS Full HD+ display that comes in a taller 19:9 aspect ratio. As seen on the earlier teaser image, it does have a notch but surprisingly, the rear comes with a dual-camera setup.
In terms of specs, the video confirms that the device is running on a Snapdragon 660 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The dual-camera is said to consist of a 12MP main camera and a 5MP secondary shooter, while the front sports a 13MP selfie camera.
The video also mentions that the front uses Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6 which is the latest version that can better withstand consecutive drops. Similar to the current ZenFone Max Pro M1, the new model still carries a large 5,000mAh battery which provides a long battery life.
From the rear shot, it looks more premium thanks to its glass surface back. There’s still no details on the pricing and as always, we expect ASUS to release multiple variants of the ZenFone Max Pro M2.
