Lazada sold over 27 tonnes of Milo and 11 Volkswagen Polo on 11.11

Lazada Malaysia has surpassed last year’s 11.11 singles day sales performance within the first nine hours of this year’s 11.11 sales. Interestingly, top selling item for the one day sale is Milo. Over 27 tones of Milo were purchased on Lazada within the first 2 hours of the 11.11 sales day.

Other than literally selling tonnes of Milo, all 11 units of the Volkswagen Polo B&W Edition that was made available on the platform during the 11.11 sale was sold out within one minute. Over 13,000 Xiaomi phones and more than 4,500,000 pieces of diapers were also sold on the day.

The Lazada 11.11 Shopping Festival saw the best sales coming from the categories of Home & Living, Fashion, Health & Beauty, Accessories, and Mother & Baby; showing a higher engagement and purchases amongst female buyers. The states shopping the most on 11.11 were Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, and Perak.

At its peak, the Lazda recorded an estimated 3,000 transactions per minute with top merchants selling more than 60 times a normal day’s volume on 11.11. In 24 hours, #MYLazada1111 was the top trending topic on Twitter with the Lazada app being the most downloaded. The performance marks a new milestone in the eCommerce platform’s history.

During the eve of the 24-hour shopping extravaganza, nearly 4.5 million Malaysians tuned in to the star studded live broadcast countdown staged Axiata Arena, with an estimated amount of 7,000 people witnessing the show live. Many local and international artists also made an appearance during the event, such as Aiman Tino, Ella, k-pop band KARD and so much more.
