Yoodo offers free roam like home data usage in 41 countries

When it comes to data roaming, most telcos are offering daily passes can cost anywhere from RM10 to RM38/day depending on which country you’re visiting. These passes often come with 500MB of quota which is quite little for heavy users.

Now Yoodo is having a promotion where you can take all of your home data overseas for free as if you’re still in Malaysia.

Instead of a typical daily pass with fixed quota, Yoodo offers “Roam like Home” pass which allows you to utilise all of your current data for a flat rate. It usually costs RM10 for 24 hours and it’s only offered for selected Asian countries. Now they have added more countries including the US, Europe and Middle East, and you can activate this pass for free as part of their Beta phase for a limited time.

To activate, just launch the Yoodo app and tap on add Roaming/IDD then select the country that you’re in. Unlike typical roaming passes that expires at midnight on local or Malaysian time, the Yoodo roam like home pass will last for 24 hours from the time of activation.

Below is the list of supported countries under Roam Like Home beta and their respective partner telcos.

For the best data rates, Yoodo is still offering a 20GB data booster for only RM20. So if you’re making a trip soon, this could possibly be the best roaming option since you can enjoy 20GB for RM20 overseas with no additional restrictions.

If you’re new to Yoodo, you can order your free SIM and get RM20 credit for free. You can use this to redeem 20GB of data. You can learn more here.
