Samsung’s triple-camera Galaxy A7 (2018) is now available for pre-order in Malaysia

UPDATE: Samsung Malaysia is now receiving pre-orders for the Galaxy A7 (2018). Details below.

If four rear cameras are a little too many for you, Samsung Malaysia just announced the availability of the Galaxy A7 (2018), and this smartphone only has three rear cameras.

Launched late last month, the Samsung Galaxy A7 is the South Korean electronics giant’s first triple camera smartphone. This device is finally available for pre-order in Malaysia and it can be yours for RM1,299. It is available in three colours — Black, Gold and Blue — and pre-orders will run from the 15th to the 21st of October 2018.

While it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting this pretty pink one you see in these photos, the good news is that customers who pre-order this device will receive a selfie stick, a thermos cup and screen protection from Samsung, worth a total of RM302, for free.

To recap, this smartphone features a 6-inch Super AMOLED display pushing a Full HD+ resolution of 2220×1080 pixels. Inside, the device is powered by an Exynos 7885 octa-core 2.2GHz processor mated to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

If you need more, you can pop a microSD card into the dedicated slot on the A7’s triple SIM tray for up to 512GB of extra space. Keeping the device running is a 3,300 mAh battery that charges via micro USB.

For photos, the Galaxy A7 features a triple camera setup at the rear where the main 24MP f/1.7 camera is flanked by an 8MP f/2.4 ultra-wide unit and a 5MP f/2.2 sensor for depth effects. In front, you’ve got a 24MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture lens.

UPDATE: A previous version of this article stated that the Galaxy A7 (2018) was available for purchase because that was the information that we received from official sources. Today, new information has surfaced that reveals customers would only be able to pre-order this smartphone so the article has been updated to reflect this.
