Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 with built-in Samsung Dex is now on sale in Malaysia

Samsung’s ultimate productivity tablet, the Galaxy Tab S4 has finally arrived in Malaysia. It offers an impressive display and top spec features in a slim package. To take its productivity capabilities to the next level, it also has built-in Samsung DeX which offers a PC-like experience.

The Galaxy Tab S4 features a 10.5″ Super AMOLED display that pushes a wide QuadHD resolution of 2560×1600. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that’s mated to 4GB of RAM.

For the Malaysian market, we are getting the 64GB storage model and you can expand its storage further via a microSD card. It’s also 4G LTE ready and you can pop-in a SIM card for always on connectivity. Design wise, it uses glass and metal, and overall it looks more compact thanks to its slightly thinner bezels.

There’s no longer a physical home button with a fingerprint sensor. Instead, it uses Samsung’s Intelligent Scan face recognition which also utilises the Iris scanner.

For imaging, you get a 13MP main camera at the rear that can shoot 4K videos, while the front comes with an 8MP selfie camera. For audio playback, it has quad speakers that are tuned by AKG and it also comes with Dolby Atoms enhancement for a more immersive audio experience.

To get more things done while on the go, the Galaxy Tab S4 can run Samsung Dex on the device itself and you can connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. This brings out a PC-like desktop experience and you can run multiple app windows including MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

For a more seamless laptop-like form factor, you can attach the Galaxy Tab S4 to an optional Book Cover Keyboard which also gives it additional protection. Also included is an S Pen which allows you to draw or take down notes. Like the Galaxy Note9, the S Pen also supports screen off memo and Samsung Live Message.

Powering the Galaxy Tab S4 is a 7,300mAh battery which claims to last up to 15 hours of playback on a single charge. It charges via USB-C and you can replenish its battery quickly with Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charger.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is officially priced at RM3,099 and it’s available at all Samsung Experience Stores and authorised dealers. It’s comes in either Black and Grey colour options. Samsung Malaysia is also offering a free Book Cover for every purchase from now until 31 October, while stocks last. You can learn more at Samsung Malaysia’s product page.

If you’re looking for something more affordable, Samsung Malaysia has also announced the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 at RM1,699. This is a family oriented tablet that comes with a 10.5″ 1920×1200 LCD display. Unlike the Galaxy Tab S4, it runs on an entry-level Snapdragon 450 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The device also features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos enhancement and it’s also powered by a 7,300mAh battery. As part of their ongoing promo, Samsung is bundling a free battery pack for every purchase of the Galaxy Tab A (2018) while stocks last. You can learn more in our previous announcement post.
