Malaysia’s tax holiday has finally come to an end with SST (Sales and Services Tax) taking effect starting 1 September 2018. If you’re thinking of getting a new smartphone, vivo Malaysia has announced that they are maintaining its current pricing without any impact from SST.

This pricing is retained on all vivo channels including their concept stores, partners and authorised dealers. For reference, below is their current price list:

vivo Y53c – RM469
vivo Y71i – RM599
vivo Y81 – RM749
vivo Y85 – RM999
vivo V9 – RM1,099
vivo X21: RM2,299
vivo NEX: RM2,799

Just to recap briefly, the vivo NEX is currently their flagship smartphone and it comes with a sliding pop-up camera. It features a large 6.59″ Ultra FullView display and it runs on a top of the line Snapdragon 845 processor with 8GB of RAM.

The device features a 12MP f/1.8 + 5MP f/2.4 dual-camera setup at the rear, while the hidden selfie camera is an 8MP f/2.0 shooter which can be activated in one second. Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery and it charges via USB-C. You can learn more about the NEX in our announcement post here.
