TM celebrates Malaysia’s diverse cultures by connecting two phones at the same time

In conjunction with our national day, Telekom Malaysia (TM) has unveiled its “TM Sejahtera Malaysia” campaign to celebrate Malaysia’s diverse cultures. The Merdeka campaign combines six different languages and two videos together to create a unique experience.

Created by Grey Malaysia, the campaign is centred around the song called “Sejahtera Malaysia”. It was re-recorded in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Tamil, Mandarin, Jaku Iban and Dusun Kadazan for different lines and it forms the soundtrack in two separate films. Each film will stand on its own, but if you play both videos side by side, it’ll tell a story. The film shows the lives of disparate individuals crossing paths by accident, colliding by circumstances, and united by the one thing they have in common, which is being Malaysian.

For the best experience, you will have to scan the QR code above or head to their website on two smartphones. Once you and your partner are in, each of you will have to click play on the respective videos at the same time.

The idea behind this campaign is simple yet meaningful. Even though we are different in many ways, but we are still able to create something special when we come together as one, as Malaysians.
