Purported front panel of the Huawei Mate 20 reveals a couple of key features

The P20 Pro is a game changing flagship smartphone for Huawei. Not only it’s their best built flagship to date, it also features the highest rated camera on DxoMark Mobile. Before the year is out, Huawei will reveal its new Mate flagship which will be even bigger than before. Ahead of its announcement, the purported front panel has appeared online and it gives us a rough idea of what to expect from the upcoming Mate 20 series.

Similar to the current P20 and Nova series, the new Mate 20 will retain a notched display. If we take a closer look, the notch will be as wide as the Nova 3 as it is expected to come with additional sensors for better 3D face unlocking.

Since the P20 Pro and Nova 3 are pushing larger 6.2-6.3 inch displays, the screen of the Mate 20 Pro is rumoured to stretch as large as 6.9″. Obviously, Huawei has to trim the bezels further and the device appears to come with a dual curved display which is similar to the former Mate 9 Pro.

Perhaps the most interesting feature to expect is an in-display fingerprint sensor underneath its AMOLED display. This will free up more space at the bottom for a higher screen to body ratio.
