Have you been searching for an ultra thin laptop? Well your searching days may be over because Acer Malaysia has launched three brand new laptops in Mid Valley earlier today and one of it just happens to be the world’s thinnest laptop.
Meet the Predator Helios 300 Special Edition, Acer Swift 7 and Acer Switch 7 Black Edition.
The all white-gold trimmed Helios 300 Special Edition runs on Windows 10 Home 64-bit with a 15.6” IPS Full HD display, an overclockable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU with 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM and a 256GB PCIe SSD, paired with a 1TB hard drive. This device also features an Intel Core i7-8750H processor and 8GB DDR4 RAM (upgradable to 32GB).
The gaming laptop is packed with an Intel Wireless-AC 9560 that offers 1.73Gbps throughput when using 160MHz channels, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
Today, Acer announced that they have only brought in 50 units to the Malaysian market and it is priced at RM6,199. For that money you will also get a Predator gaming mouse, earphones, gaming backpack as well as a mouse pad included.
The Predator Helios 300 Special Edition will only be available in mid-August at all Acer Office Online Stores and authorized Predator Partners nationwide.
The Acer Swift 7 is the world’s thinnest laptop and it measures only 8.98mm thick. The Swift 7 is designed for mobility and it is powered by a 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7Y75 processor along with 8GB LPDDR3 memory and it comes with a 14 inch full HD, IPS touchscreen display.The attractive all-metal device comes with a fingerprint reader that allows a password-free and safer sign-in through Windows Hello. This laptop comes with 256GB of PCle SSD storage and provides its users with up to 10 hours of battery life.
Besides, there is built-in 4G LTE connectivity that keeps its users connected always as it is equipped with a 2×2 802.11ac with MU-MIMO wireless technology for a faster connection.
The Acer Swift 7 is priced at RM6,399 and it is available at all Acer Official Online Stores and authorized re-sellers nationwide
The Acer Switch 7 Black Edition is the first fanless 2-in-1 laptop furnished with discrete graphics. The Switch 7 is capable of keeping itself cool all thanks to Acer’s proprietary Dual LiquidLoop fanless cooling technology. It is equipped with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8550U processor and an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. The device weighs about 1.15kg without the keyboard and it has a 13.5-inch QHD IPS display with 2256 x 1504 resolution.
The Switch 7 Black Edition has a distinctive feature compared to other Acer devices. Switch 7 is the first Acer’s device to feature the Acer AutoStand, where the stand is able to auto deploy and retract with just one hand. Previously, they could only retract automatically so this is a advancement of that technology.
The Acer Switch 7 Black Edition is priced at RM6,999 and it is available at all Acer Official Online Stores and authorized re-sellers nationwide.
On a side note, Acer Malaysia will be having a flash promotion in Mid Valley Megamall from the 4th and 5th of August 2018 with several products on sale at low prices.
