The Xiaomi Mi A2 is a significant upgrade over last year’s Mi A1. This Android One powered smartphone now gets a nicer build, a more powerful Snapdragon 660 processor and it has an improved 12MP + 20MP dual-camera setup that’s optimised for low light.
After a full day of usage, here’s what Rory thinks of the device including the camera performance. Check out the video after the break.
To recap, the Mi A2 features a 5.99″ Full HD+ display with Gorilla Glass 5 and it gets an aluminium unibody exterior. It comes with up to 6GB of RAM with storage options of up to 128GB onboard. Over at the front, it gets a 20MP selfie camera that supports AI-assisted portrait mode.
In terms of battery, the Mi A2 gets a rather modest 3,000mAh capacity but it does support Quick Charge 3.0 charging via USB-C. An omission on the Mi A2 is the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack but it still comes with an IR blaster at the top which you can use as a universal remote control.
The Mi A2 will be available in Malaysia very soon. According to an early Lazada listing, the 6GB RAM + 128GB model is priced at RM1,199.
