vivo Y85 Malaysia

If the RM1,399 vivo V9 is out of your budget, here comes a more affordable alternative. vivo Malaysia has just announced the Y85 which also comes with a FullView display and a dual-camera setup at the rear.

The Y85 is officially priced at RM999 and it will be available exclusively on 11street from 1 – 3 June 2018. To sweeten the deal, they are also providing free 1-year screen crack protection and a 32GB microSD card.

The vivo Y85 has a 6.22″ HD 720p display (1520×720) that has a tall 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it runs on a 12nm Octa-Core processor (likely MediaTek Helio P22) that’s mated to 4GB of RAM and it comes with 32GB of onboard storage. Surprisingly, the specs are different than the Chinese market which gets a higher resolution Full HD+ display and it runs on a Snapdragon 450 processor.

For taking pictures, the Y85 features 13MP + 2MP dual cameras for the rear while the front comes with an 8MP selfie shooter with AI Face Beauty. If you don’t want to use the rear-fingerprint sensor, you can also unlock the device using your face.

Powering the device is a 3,260mAh battery and it runs on FunTouch OS 4.0 that’s based on Android 8.1 Oreo. If you’re interested, you can place your order on 11street. The vivo Y85 is available in Black and Red.
