SOCAR Ramadhan

For the month of Ramadhan, SOCAR has introduced a new Buka Puasa Stress-Free pass promo where you can rent a car overnight with petrol included for a low flat fee. This lets you pick up a car before Buka Puasa and you can return it the next morning for as low as RM20 (excluding GST).

The Buka Puasa Stress-Free Pass is valid from 5PM to 8AM from 16 May to 14 June 2018. Take note that SOCAR is only offering this promo for weekdays between Monday to Friday. There are a total of 7 vehicles from a Perodua Axia at RM20 to a Honda HR-V at RM46. SOCAR have recently added the latest Myvi and VW Polo into their fleet. Below is the full pricing with their respective promo codes:

To redeem this offer, you must enter the codes BUKAPUASAPASS or BUKAPUASACOMFORT under My Promotions. You can find this in the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen (The one with the human icon). Once that’s done, you can proceed to reserve a car between 5PM to 8AM, and then select the code under “Promotions” on the check out page.

The Buka Puasa Pass is only redeemable from 12PM onwards. You can only book cars for the day itself and it isn’t applicable for advance bookings. Minimum booking is 6 hours and you can get 30KM worth of fuel for every hour you book (Max 300KM per day). If you haven’t tried SOCAR yet, you can download the app here.

To recap, SOCAR is a keyless car sharing system where everything is managed from the app. A petrol card is included in the car and you must ensure that the tank is atleast 50% full before you return the vehicle. Just remember to bring your Touch n Go (or SmartTAG) as tolls and additional parking is at your own cost. Since your smartphone acts as the key, we would advise carrying a powerbank to keep your phone juiced up for the entire journey.
