This could be the honor 10’s pricing in Malaysia

UPDATE: honor has issued a statement in regards to the leaked document between Huawei and Shopee.

UPDATE 2: The honor 10 is officially priced at RM1,699.

The honor 10 is a flagship killer that will undercut many smartphones priced beyond RM3,000. The specs are quite similar to the Huawei P20 and we did mention that it will priced under RM2,000. So how much exactly will it cost? Ahead of its Malaysian launch event that’s taking place this coming Tuesday, a leaked document has revealed its local pricing.

Similar to the honor 9 Lite, it appears that the honor 10 will be available exclusively on Shopee according to an agreement shown below. This exclusivity will be valid until 14 July 2018 and the honor 10 is set to retail for RM1,999.

Since the Government had announced that GST will be zero-rated beginning 1 June, it isn’t clear if the RM1,999 pricing is inclusive of GST. If it is, the honor 10 could be priced at RM1885.85 with 0% GST.

As a comparison, the honor 10 is priced at 2,599 CNY (about RM1,620) for 64GB of storage and 2,999 CNY (about RM1,870) for 128GB of storage. For our market, we are likely to get the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option.

To recap, the honor 10 features a 5.84″ Full HD+ IPS display with an 19:9 aspect ratio. Underneath its glass and metal body is a Kirin 970 processor that’s mated to 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

In terms of cameras, the rear gets a 24MP + 16MP camera combo with f/1.8 aperture while the front comes with a 24MP selfie shooter with AI enhancement. Juicing up the honor 10 is a 3,400mAh battery which charges via USB-C. Unlike the Huawei P20 series, a 3.5mm headphone jack is included.

Stay tuned to us on Tuesday for the official details. In the meantime, you can check out our first impressions here.

UPDATE: honor has issued the following statement:

Since the RM1,999 price isn’t finalised, there’s a chance that it could be priced lower with 0% GST.
