Huawei Malaysia has revealed the official price for their mid-range Nova 3e smartphone and it’s pretty close to where we thought it would land.
Yup, the Huawei Nova 3e will retail for RM1,399 and will officially go on sale beginning the 25th of May 2018. Despite retailing at that price tag, Huawei currently has a 6% cashback promotion happening now and the Nova 3e is eligible for this cashback. With this promotion, you’re getting RM79 off the RRP so the smartphone can be yours for RM1,320.
Customers who purchase the Nova 3e will also receive a Huawei Tripod Selfie Stick worth RM68 while stocks last.
To refresh your memory, the Huawei Nova 3e is the latest handset to join Huawei’s selfie-centric Nova line of devices. Also known as the Huawei P20 Lite in other regions, the Nova 3e bears a lot of resemblance to both the Huawei P20 and Huawei’s older Nova 2i.
On the outside, you’re getting a premium glass and metal body that’s very reminiscent of the Huawei P20. This also includes the notch in its 5.84-inch Full HD+ display. Inside, the smartphone features a mid-range Kirin 659 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which you can further expand via a microSD card slot.
Keeping the lights on is a 3,000 mAh battery that supports 9V2A fast charging via a USB Type-C port. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack so you don’t have to throw your old headphones away.
For photos, you’re getting a 24MP selfie camera in front with beautification and depth effect features. At the back, you’ll be greeted with a 16MP+2MP dual-camera combo that’s also capable of taking shallow depth of field photos.
This smartphone is pretty similar to the older Nova 2i with the exception of that fancy new body, new selfie camera and generous 128GB of internal storage. But with a price tag like RM1,399, would you buy this over a Nova 2i which you can now get for below RM900 (Lazada, Shopee)?
