Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy J6 (2018) very soon and this will be their most affordable new smartphone that comes with an Infinity Display. Roland Quandt of WinFuture.De has managed to get his hands on some official press images and it confirms what we’ve seen so far from another leak.
The Galaxy J6 (2018) will come with a 5.6″ SuperAMOLED panel but it pushes a lower HD+ 720p resolution. Although the forehead and chin of the front are quite thick, the Galaxy J6 still follows the current Galaxy A8/S9 approach of having a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that’s placed right below its main camera. Instead of metal, the back cover appears to be plastic which isn’t removable.
In terms of specs, it is expected to run on an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor that comes with possibly 2GB, 3GB and 4GB of RAM with storage of either 32GB or 64GB onboard. If you need more, there’s a microSD slot and it will also support dual-SIM. Other specs include a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter that has its own selfie flash.
Based on earlier listings, it will likely to come with a 3,000mAh battery which still charges via microUSB. According to Roland, the Galaxy J6 is expected to be priced at 250 Euros (about RM1,173) but over in India, it is rumoured that the price would start from Rs 13,990 (about RM813).
The Galaxy J6 was already spotted on SIRIM’s database along with Galaxy A6+ and Galaxy J4. This is a strong indication that it will be heading to our market very soon.
