Android 8.0 Oreo now available for Samsung Galaxy Note8 units in Malaysia

After weeks of waiting, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is finally getting its Android 8.0 Oreo update in Malaysia. If you bought your Galaxy Note8 with official Samsung Malaysia warranty, you should be able to download the update now.

The Oreo update is about 1.47GB in size and it carries the latest Samsung Experience 9.0 upgrade which was rolled out to the Galaxy S8/S8+ a few months ago. Apart from bug fixes, the latest update also carries a newer Android security update dated 1st March 2018.

It’s recommended that you perform a full backup before proceeding. Since it’s huge in size, we recommend using an unmetered WiFi connection to download. If you haven’t received any update notification, you may check manually by going into Settings and tap on “Software update” at the bottom of the page.
