Huawei Malaysia will be launching its photography-centric P20 series next Tuesday. If you want to get your hands on one, you won’t have to wait too long. The P20 Malaysian roadshow details are finally out and you can get extra freebies and a chance to get their top of the line P20 Pro for free.
The Huawei P20 roadshows in Malaysia are taking place between 6-8 April 2018 in the Klang Valley and Penang. It’s happening at LG Floor, Blue Concourse, Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Carnival Mall, Penang simultaneously.
Early bird customers that purchase the device at the roadshows will get freebies worth more than RM999 which include a Canon Pixma E3170 printer, a Huawei Sport Bluetooth headphone (AM61) plus other exclusive rewards. On top of that, you’ll also stand a chance to get a Huawei P20 Pro that comes with a Leica triple-camera setup.
At this point, it isn’t clear if both P20 and P20 Pro will be available at the same time. Based on past flagship releases, it is likely that Huawei Malaysia would release the P20 with 4GB RAM and dual-camera first, followed by the P20 Pro with 6GB RAM and triple-camera at the later date. We will find out more including its pricing at the upcoming local launch event next week.
To recap on the specs, the P20 and P20 Pro come with FullHD+ display that comes in 5.8″ and 6.1″ screen size respectively. Both are powered by Huawei’s in-house developed Kirin 970 processor with a generous 128GB of storage which isn’t expandable. The smaller P20 gets a 3,400mAh battery, while the larger P20 Pro gets a massive 4,000mAh capacity. As usual, these two will support Huawei SuperCharge charging via USB-C.
In terms of imaging, the P20 gets a 12MP f/1.8 RGB + 20MP f/1.6 monochrome camera combo and a front facing 24MP f/2.0 selfie camera. For the P20 Pro, the rear features an epic 40MP f/1.8 RGB camera, a 20MP f/1.6 monochrome unit and an 8MP f/2.4 3X telephoto camera.
