These are the purported specs of the OPPO F7 with a 25MP selfie camera

OPPO’s next big thing is the OPPO R15 but the phone that’s likely to come to Malaysia will be the OPPO F7. This is the successor of the current OPPO F5 series and it boasts a 25MP selfie camera.

The OPPO F7 will be announced in India next Monday, 26 March 2018 and its full specs have been revealed through a product briefing document. As teased on their social feed, the OPPO F7 comes with a “Super Full Screen” display that’s 6.23 inches which pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 2280×1080.

Like most Chinese smartphone brands, it also has a notch at the top which houses a 25MP selfie camera with HDR. As a selfie-centric smartphone, you can expect OPPO to pack even more selfie features including AI Beauty 2.0 which maps your face with 296 facial points.

The beautification feature not only works on selfies but it also applies individual touch ups for group photos as well. While it doesn’t have AniMoji, the F7 comes with AR stickers and there’s also beautification for videos.  For normal photography, the rear gets a single 16MP f/2.0 main camera that has automatic scene recognition.

Under the hood, the OPPO F7 is listed to have a 12nm based MediaTek Helio P60 processor that could be mated with up to 6GB of RAM. Powering the device is a 3,400mAh battery which is slightly larger than the F5’s 3,200mAh capacity. Out of the box it runs on ColorOS 5.0.
