Xiaomi’s Redmi 5 series is getting expanded by the end of this week. After introducing its single 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant for the Malaysian market, Xiaomi will be releasing two more models to cover different price points.

If you need a phone with better specs, there’s also the Redmi 5 Plus with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It’s similar to the recently announced Redmi Note 5 in India and it’s priced at 1,299CNY (about RM798) in China.

As a comparison, the Redmi 5 with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage is officially priced in Malaysia at RM679, while the equivalent Redmi 5 Plus with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage is going for RM749.
