honor 9 lite malaysia

honor Malaysia has just shared a teaser image for an incoming smartphone. It shows 4 circles, which is somewhat similar to the Nova 2i and it comes with just two words: “E9ually Beautiful”. It is likely to be released right after Chinese New Year and it could be a compact alternative to the honor 7X.

From the looks of it, we are guessing that this could be the honor 9 Lite which was launched in India two months ago. The specs are quite similar to the honor 7X except that it has a smaller 5.65″ display and it uses glass for both front and back.

The display pushes a FullHD+ (2160×1080) resolution in an 18:9 display aspect ratio and it runs on a familiar Kirin 659 Octa-Core processor that’s also powering the honor 7X and Huawei Nova 2i. The honor 9 Lite comes with either 3GB or 4GB RAM with storage options of either 32GB or 64GB.

Camera-wise, both front and back gets a 13MP + 2MP combo that offers bokeh and beautification effects. Powering this compact FullView smartphone is a 3,000mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.0 with EMUI 8.0 skin on top.

In India, the entry-level 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option is going for 10,999 INR (about RM671) and it’s priced lower than the honor 7X with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage at 15,999 INR (about RM977). If the honor 9 Lite is priced under RM800 in Malaysia, this could be a serious challenger to the current Redmi 5 series. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
