Official Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ cases leaked ahead of launch

The Galaxy S9/S9+ will be revealed in two weeks time and now its official Samsung cases have leaked online. Apart from the usual clear case and Alcantara covers, there are several fresh new designs for the new flagship duo. Since the Galaxy S9+ will feature a dual-camera system, the cut out for the camera bump is noticeably longer as well.

The first type of casing is a clear view standing cover which allows you to fold it into a landscape stand mode. With a see-through top cover, you can view the clock and notifications without opening the front cover.

Next is its Alcantara cover that comes with a nice soft touch material for the back. This looks the same as the version that came out for the Galaxy S8 series.

There’s also a Silicone Cover which provides a slim fit with a silky and soft-touch finish.

If you’re looking for something different, Samsung also has a hyperknit cover that comes with a woven fabric material to mimic sports apparels. From the photos, it looks like the same material used for speakers.

Finally, there’s a Protective Standing Cover that comes with a rubber texture that looks like a travel luggage. What’s interesting is its MIL-STD 810G certification which Samsung claims to provide the ultimate device protection. Unfortunately, there’s no picture of the front so it isn’t clear how well it can withstand frontal drops. With its MIL-STD-810G-516 rating, the case itself is certified specifically for shocks.
