Huawei Nova 2i gets a RM200 price cut in Malaysia

Huawei has just announced a price cut for the Nova 2i in Malaysia. Originally launched at RM1,299, the selfie-centric smartphone is now going for RM1,099.

Apart from the price cut, they are also throwing additional freebies worth RM499. In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration, they are bundling a selfie stick, a Huawei Uring and a headset while stocks last.

Just recently, Huawei has also pushed a new software update which enables face unlocking on the Nova 2i. In addition, they have also added an AR lens feature which allows you to superimpose yourself in front of a different background. If you haven’t received the software update on your Nova 2i, you can check manually at Settings > System Update.

To refresh your memory, the Nova 2i comes with a 5.93″ Full HD+ display that offers an 18:9 FullView experience. Under the hood, it runs on a mid-range Kirin 659 processor with 4GB of RAM and it comes with 64GB of expandable storage.

The Nova 2i comes with a total of four cameras. The front gets a 13MP f/2.0 + 2MP f/2.4 combo, while the rear gets a 16MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.4 setup. Powering the Nova 2i is a 3,340mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.1 skin on top. It’s available in Graphite Black, Prestige Gold and Limited Edition Aurora Blue.

The new pricing will take effect starting this Saturday, 3rd February but you could already find some online retailers offering the device for as low as RM999.
