ASUS is starting the new year with a price cut for its affordable ZenFone 4 Max smartphone. This is their entry-level device that comes with a dual-camera setup capable of capturing wide-angle shots and it packs a large 4,100mAh battery.
Originally priced at RM799, the ZenFone 4 Max (ZC520KL) is now going for only RM699. To recap on the specs, this is the smaller 5.2″ model which comes with a HD 720p display and it runs on a Snapdragon 425 processor. Onboard, it has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which is expandable via microSD.
For imaging, it gets a 13MP f/2.0 main camera and a secondary 5MP shooter that has a 120-degree wide-angle lens. It shoots Full HD videos and the front gets an 8MP selfie camera. The ZenFone 4 Max is also a dual-SIM device which accepts two nano-SIM cards and it has its own dedicated microSD card slot. It supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and 4G LTE in both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE bands.
Powering the device is a 4,100mAh battery and it can double up as a power bank with reverse charging at 1Amp. Out of the box, it runs on Android 7.0 with ASUS ZenUI on top. If you’re looking for something newer, you could consider the ASUS ZenFone Max Plus with a 5.7″ 18:9 display that’s priced at RM899.
