Some iPhone X units are getting the green line of death

It looks some iPhone X units are having issues with its Super Retina display. Some owners have reported having a single green line appearing vertically across their screens which appears to be a hardware defect.

Over here in Malaysia, @Benjern had faced a similar problem with his iPhone X which he got a couple of days ago. At first, his iPhone X refuses to connect to his car’s Bluetooth system and then, he started noticing a strange green line as shown above.

After that, the green line became more noticeable and his phone starts to be unresponsive. He added that nothing happens when he pressed the power button and Siri only work once in a while. Furthermore, he also noticed moisture in the camera lens which shouldn’t be happening for an IP67 rated device. At the time of posting, his iPhone X is completely dead and he is sending it to an authorised Apple service centre for help.

Obviously, @benjern was quite disappointed with his experience especially when the iPhone X costs over RM5,000. He also had issues with his pair of AirPods but eventually, he managed to get it replaced. You can watch his video below:

It appears that this problem affects a small number of units worldwide. We have two iPhone X at the office and we have no issues so far. Do you have any issues with your iPhone X? Let us know in the comments below.
