Before the year is out, HTC has started pushing the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update for their U11 flagship smartphone. This was tweeted by Mo Versi, HTC’s VP of Product Management and it is now available for unlocked units.
While Oreo has been released a couple of months now, only a handful of devices are running on the latest version. As of 9 November, only 0.3% of devices are running on Android 8.0. If you take a look around, there are a few new smartphones being released with Oreo out of the box such as the Sony Xperia XZ1 and Huawei Mate 10 series.

Apart from the U11, other HTC devices that will receive the latest Oreo update will include the HTC 10, U Ultra and U11 Life. Unfortunately, no timelines were given for the subsequent rollout.
