Lazada recently kicked off their month-long Online Revolution campaign and with the 11.11 Single’s Day sales, have broken sales records with over RM100 million revenue generated by the sales.
The month-long sale doesn’t just encompass Singles Day, but also covers the Big Baby Fair, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, with the Online Revolution’s finale to hit in December.
Over the course of the day, Lazada Malaysia enjoyed over 10 million visits, an estimated 1,400 transactions per minute and of course, over RM100 million in gross merchandise value in just the first 24 hours alone.
Aside from that, over 2 million worth of deals were pre-booked via Lazada 11.11 Gift cards, with the top three categories for sales being Groceries, Baby & Toys (with over 32,000 diapers bought in 24 hours!) as well as Electronics, where users ordered 34,000 smartphones and tablets within the span of the day.
Of all the items purchased that day, items ranged from 81 sen (Tiger Biscuits, 60g) all the way to RM13,499 for a Samsung 75″ UHD TV, and the top selling items of the day were Petronal Fuel Cards, Milo 2.2kg (we really like our Milo) and Pineng Powerbanks.
To top it off, the first 11.11 order was received by the customer at 11.30am, record time!
