Here’s the full specs of the OnePlus 5T

It appears that everything you need to know about the OnePlus 5T is finally out of the bag. Ahead of its official announcement on 16 November, ZDnet Germany has posted their unboxing photos along with full details of its hardware specs.

As expected, it looks very similar to the OPPO R11s and it comes with a 6.01″ Full Optic AMOLED display that pushes FullHD+ resolution in a 18:9 display aspect ratio. The screen now takes up 80.5% of its entire front and the fingerprint sensor is now moved to the back which claims to unlock in under 0.2 seconds. It also comes with a Sunlight Display feature which will automatically adjust the screen’s contrast so that it’s viewable under harsh sunlight.

Under the hood, you get a familiar setup to the current OnePlus 5. It runs on a Snapdragon 835 processor that’s mated to either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The UFS 2.1 storage comes in either 64GB or 128GB options with no MicroSD expansion.

In terms of optics, the OnePlus 5T comes with a main 16MP (Sony IMX 398) f/1.7 main camera and a secondary 20MP (Sony IMX 376K) f/1.7 shooter. As a comparison, the current OnePlus 5 has a main 16MP f/1.7 camera and a secondary 20MP f/2.6 shooter with a telephoto lens.

From the looks of it, the OnePlus 5T is likely to have a similar RGB + Monochrome setup as Huawei’s latest flagship devices. According to the brochure, the OnePlus 5T can take bokeh effects and it has a software-based Clear Zoom feature which sounds quite similar to Huawei’s Hybrid zoom on their current dual-camera flagship smartphones.

It can shoot 4K videos at 30fps and 120fps slow-mo videos in HD 720p. Meanwhile, the front comes with a 16MP (Sony IMX 371) f/2.0 selfie shooter.

Powering the OnePlus 5T is a 3,300mAh battery which supports DASH fast charging via USB Type-C. It still runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box with its stock-like OxygenOS skin on top.

OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau, has hinted that despite the rising cost of materials, OnePlus fans will appreciate the OnePlus 5T’s pricing. It is likely that the OnePlus 5T will be launched with the same price tag of the OnePlus 5 when it was first released. The OnePlus 5 was originally priced at RM2,388 in Malaysia for 64GB and RM2,688 for the higher spec version of 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
