ookyo wants you to experience unlimited internet for only RM1

Maxis’s fully digital sub-brand, ookyo, is now offering an offer that you can’t resist. In a bid to get more people to experience its unlimited internet experience, you can get a free SIM and one month of usage for only RM1. Actually, RM1.06 including GST to be exact.

To recap, ookyo isn’t your typical prepaid plan. It is quite similar to an online subscription service that charges your credit/debit card automatically. You could consider it as a prepaid plan with auto-debit.

The plan comes with two unlimited options – Social Pack or Entertainment Pack, each covering a different set of apps which has true unlimited use at high-speed. Whichever pack you pick, it also comes with free unlimited usage for WhatsApp, Line, WeChat and Facebook Messenger. On top of that, you also get 3GB of high-speed data plus 500MB free basic internet for everything else that isn’t covered. For first time users, ookyo is giving 20% in Google Play store credit instead of the usual 10%.

Take note that this RM1 offer is only for the first month and it will cost you RM31.80 (inclusive of GST) for the subsequent months. According to the FAQ, you’ll need to be active for at least 2 months before you can cancel the subscription. Registration is done completely online and they will ship the SIM pack to you for free. Take note that ookyo only works for Android devices at the moment.
