Here’s an Android phone that’s the size of a credit card

With phones (and phablets) getting ever larger to accommodate our video habits, it doesn’t look like phones are going to get smaller anytime soon. But there does exist a teensy market for small smartphones, and we mean, really, really small.

One such phone is the NichePhone-S, which is an Android smartphone so small it’s the size of a credit card, and could probably be mistaken for a pocket calculator.

The teensy device could very well be the first of its kind as well because while phones this small have been making the rounds, this might be the first that is running on Android. Powered by a MediaTek processor, the phone also sports a 550 mAh battery, weighing in at a paltry 38 grams and is just 6.5mm in thickness.

It even runs on Android 4.2, and has useful connectivity features like Bluetooth, 3G, LTE and tethering. Given how small it is, it looks like a great emergency phone, or if you just happen to want something very discrete.

The NichePhone-S will retail for about $88 (about RM371)  and will hit the market come November 10th.
