Looks like HTC will be back on the ball with their dual-camera systems, with the company set to bring them back in 2018.
Despite being one of the first to start making phones with dual rear cameras that work hand in hand to make better photos, HTC decided to drop the tech instead of further expanding on it. The last phone they had which had said system was the HTC One M9+, which was released all the way back in 2015.
But it seems HTC has rekindled interest in producing dual-camera phones again, stating that they will “definitely be releasing a dual-camera phone next year, but we’ll need to figure out how to make this feature stand out,” as quoted by Chialin Chang, HTC’s smartphone division president.
Either way, we’ll be expecting something interesting out from HTC come 2018, and while we don’t know what is up their sleeves yet, it should prove interesting for the company at the very least.
