Moto X4 Malaysia

Apart from the Moto G5s Plus, it looks like Motorola is bringing another smartphone to Malaysia. They have just posted a teaser photo on their Facebook page which indicates that the next device will come with water resistance.

Judging by its description of “Xtraordinary”, this could be their new Moto X4 smartphone. This is the 4th generation Moto X which was announced a few months ago.

Sitting in between the Moto G and Moto Z series, the Moto X4 is a premium mid-range device that comes with IP68 dust and water resistance. It gets a 5.2″ Full HD IPS display in front while the back gets a contoured 3D glass design with an anodised aluminium frame.

Powering the Moto X4 is a 2.2GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor that’s mated to either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It has 32GB of storage which is also expandable via microSD.

Similar to its Moto G5s Plus, it gets a 3,000mAh battery which Moto says can last a full day on a single charge. To replenish it quickly, it supports TurboPower charging via USB Type-C. You also get a 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 5.0. Out of the box, it runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Moto Experiences.

In Europe, it is priced at 399 Euro which is about RM1,965 but we reckon it should be cheaper once it goes on sale in Malaysia. The Moto G5s Plus will be announced next week and hopefully they would share more details of the Moto X4 during the event.
