HTC will be unveiling a near bezel-less smartphone this week

HTC will be the next smartphone maker to jump on the big screen and thin bezel bandwagon. An announced has been confirmed for this week and it could be a phablet version of its current HTC U11 flagship smartphone.

From the teaser photo above, it will come with narrow bezels with thinner forehead and chin. A few days earlier, HTC has released a teaser image of the back which revealed a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Another interesting discovery is the circular coil lines which indicate that it would come with wireless charging support. As speculated earlier, the HTC U11+ would come with a 6″ 18:9 display that comes with a Liquid Surface exterior.

In terms of specs, it would retain similar internals as the U11. The U11+ is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Being a phablet, it also comes with a larger 3,930mAh battery along with IP68 water resistance.

@evleaks did mention before that he expects a mid-range smartphone to be revealed instead of this phablet-sized U11+. This could be the HTC U Life which is basically a budget alternative to the U11. Since we are reaching the end of the year, it is possible that HTC might roll out both models in time for the year-end Christmas season. You can also expect to see HTC’s squeezable “Edge-Sense” on these latest models. All shall be revealed this Thursday, 2nd November 2017.
