Before the year is out, there’s one more flagship smartphone from HTC that’s expected to be called the U11+. Like the name suggests, this is the bigger brother of its current HTC U11 flagship smartphone.
A few days ago, we’ve seen its leaked 3D render and now we have a clearer view through its certification listing on TENAA.
Similar to the HTC U11, the U11+will feature a liquid surface design that comes with a glossy back finish. Over at the front, it gets a 6″ WQHD+ display and it will run on a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 processor.
Just like its current flagship, it would come in two configurations – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. In terms of camera, it will feature a 12MP f/1.7 main camera while the front comes with an 8MP selfie shooter.

Since it’s a larger device, the U11+ will come with a 3,930mAh battery which is 31% more than the U11. It also comes with QuickCharge 3.0 support via USB Type-C and has IP68 dust/water resistance. Also retained is its “squeezable” Edge Sense and Boom Sound stereo spekers.
According to Android Headlines, HTC is having an event this coming 2 November 2017. While it is safe to assume that this would be the announcement of the U11+, Evan Blass believes HTC is launching a mid-range device instead. We could be looking at a “mini” HTC U11 that’s called the U11 Life.
When the HTC U11 was launched in Malaysia, it was priced at RM3,099 for the higher spec 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. If the U11+ comes to Malaysia, it would face some serious challenge as you can get a lot of great flagships for less than RM3,000 these days.
