HTC U11 Plus

HTC will be introducing a new large screen smartphone very soon. After Samsung, LG and Huawei had launched their tall and skinny 18:9 display smartphones, HTC will be releasing a “FullView’ smartphone of their own that is expected to be called the HTC U11 Plus.

Based on renders by @Onleaks and Couponraja, the upcoming U11 Plus shares the same external appearance as its current U11 flagship. Over at the rear, it also gets a “Liquid surface” treatment that comes with a mirror glass finish.

In terms of display, the U11 Plus is expected to come with a 6″ QuadHD+ display that does 2880×1400 pixels resolution. Since the bottom chin is minimised, the fingerprint sensor is now moved towards the rear.

The U11 Plus is expected to retain its 12MP f/1.7 main camera while the front is said to be an 8MP shooter, instead of a 16MP unit found on the current U11. You can also expect the “squeeze” function as well as HTC’s popular Boom Sound speakers on the U11 Plus.

Like the U11, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack on the U11 Plus and audio will be pushed via USB Type-C. If it follows the same packaging, it should come with a pair of noise cancelling in-ear headphones and a USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter that has a built-in DAC.

Based on its early benchmark listing, the HTC U11 Plus was spotted running on a Snapdragon 835 processor that’s mated to 4GB of RAM and it comes with 64GB of storage. Like the current flagship, do expect them to release a high-spec variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

The HTC U11 Plus is expected to be revealed on 2 Noember and this is their first product launch after Google’s “buyout”. What do you think of the device? Let us know in the comments below.
