Huawei’s Mate 10 Malaysian pre-order could start this week

Hours before the official launch of Huawei‘s highly anticipated flagship smartphone — the Huawei Mate 10 — it appears that Huawei Honor IOI City Store has leaked the pre-order promo for this device in Malaysia. Here’s what you can expect.

According to this leak, the pre-order will take place from the 19th to the 22nd of October 2017. This means that the phone could arrive in stores by the end of this month. Besides that, it looks like Huawei will be bundling the device with free gifts worth up to RM999, including a VIP member card, a Huawei selfie stick and a Huawei body scale.

Unfortunately, there’s no information on the device’s local pricing just yet.

If you’re curious about specs, here’s what the rumours say so far. There will be two variants: A Mate 10 and Mate 10 pro. The Mate 10 Pro is rumoured to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio near-bezel-less display that’ll take up pretty much the whole front of the device.

For photos, Huawei’s new flagship is rumoured to feature a better dual-camera system with even faster f/1.6 aperture Leica Summilux-H lenses at the back, There’ll also be a laser AF system and a dual-flash as well. Other rumours hint at an IP67 water-resistant device (finally!) and a shift towards an all-glass body instead. Huawei also claims that the smartphone will have the largest battery in any flagship device yet.

What’s more, Huawei throwing a lot of their eggs into the AI basket so it’ll be interesting to see what strides the company has taken with AI in their new flagship phablet.

Of course, these are still rumours at this point so take it with a grain of salt. The official launch is just around the corner so stay tuned for the latest updates!
