This is what the upcoming Nokia 9 flagship would look like

The Nokia 8 is an interesting flagship offering top-end specs at a competitive price. If that’s not good enough, the Finnish company is expected to release a newer model that’s called the Nokia 9.

Ahead of its big reveal, we now have a clearer view thanks to these new renders. It looks very different from what we’ve seen from the new Nokia brand.

These renders are based on information by @onleaks in collaboration with CompareRaja. In case you’re not familiar, most renders from @onleaks have been pretty close to the real deal as seen on the Galaxy S8 and Note8 designs.

Unlike the current Nokia 8, this new flagship will feature a 5.5″ Quad HD display with curved edges. Since the full display dominates the front of the device, the fingerprint sensor is now moved to the rear.

Under the hood, it has similar hardware to the current Nokia 8. It is said to run on a Snapdragon 835 processor mated to 4GB RAM and comes with storage options of 64GB and 128GB.

For imaging, it will still come with a dual-camera setup that’s placed vertically in the middle. There are no details of its pixel count but you can expect Zeiss optics and multiple-mic setup for OZO audio like its current Nokia 8. Also visible are two speaker grills at the bottom which looks like dual-speakers as seen on the Nokia 6.

It also has a USB Type-C port and if you noticed, the Nokia 9 has no headphone jack. When it comes to software, you can expect the Nokia 9 to run on stock Android and it is likely to launch with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
