Celcom OleOle makes it easier to send e-gifts from your smartphone

To embrace the spirit of giving, Celcom is making it easier to purchase and send digital gifts to your friends and loved ones with OleOle. If you’re a prepaid user, you can purchase e-gifts using your prepaid credit, while postpaid users can have it charged through their monthly bill. This e-gifting platform is made possible in partnership with WOGI (World of Gifts).

OleOle can be found on the official Celcom Postpaid or Xpax Prepaid app which is available on both Android and iOS platforms. At the moment, you can only send gifts to Celcom/Xpax numbers. During the launch, Celcom reveals that they are working towards opening this up to other numbers.

For starters, you can use OleOle to send data plans or add-ons to friends/family members who are running low on data. On top of that, you can also send eVouchers from a range of e-commerce platforms such as 11street, Fashion Valet, Lazada, Melissa, Something Borrowed, Z Gold MOL Points, Zalia, Zalora and more. You can purchase in denominations of RM20, RM30, RM50 and RM100. Celcom is also working on increasing the number of brands on OleOle and this will include FAVE, TaoBao and Klook.

To send an e-gift will cost the sender RM0.50 and there’s no cost on the receiver’s end. However, there’s an option to request for an e-gift from a family/friend and there’s a request cost of RM0.20. After the e-gift is purchased and sent, the receiver will receive an SMS where he/she needs to reply in order to accept the gift. Once that’s done, the receiver will receive another SMS with a link to redeem the voucher code.

To encourage more e-gifting among its subscribers, Celcom is offering FREE e-gifts daily worth over RM20,000. The first 50 customers of the day who purchase an e-gift will stand a chance to win free e-gifts worth up to RM100. For more info, you can visit Celcom’s OleOle page.
